Before the show:
Please arrange for someone to use a separate microphone to introduce Darren.  The introduction can be serious or funny, long or short.  Say whatever you like, just make sure the last words are “please give a warm welcome to… Darren Collins.”  Or “Put your hands together for, Darren Collins.”   Instructing the audience to applaud is a great way to start.  A sample is included below if you prefer.

Sample introductions:

–1–

“Our guest entertainer today has performed for over one hundred thousand people in over 45 states and 10 countries.  Please give a warm welcome to… Darren Collins!”

–2–

“Our guest (performer or entertainer or speaker) has performed for over one hundred thousand people in, churches, schools, and comedy clubs in over 45 states and 10 countries.  He is a comedian, juggler and magician who has also authored several books, is a world champion knife thrower, and is based in Dallas, TX.  Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls…  please give a warm welcome to… Darren Collins!”

If Darren is performing for Children:
DO NOT advertise or include in your introduction that Darren is going to JUGGLE FIRE.  Yes, he may do that (at your discretion) but his show also contains 44 minutes of “NOT fire” and this may not bode well with an audience who was constantly excited by the forthcoming “fire juggler.”
